James Neeley, Commissioner, Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, toured Flexial as part of a board meeting held in Cookeville for the State Workforce Development Board. Dr. Steve Copeland, former member of the Cookeville City Council, was appointed by Governor Phil Bredesen as chairman of the Workforce Development Board. Commissioner Neeley arranged for the board meeting to be held in Cookeville to make communities across Tennessee aware of the services offered by the 15 Career Centers located throughout the state.

Commissioner Neeley; Johnnie Wheeler of the Upper Cumberland Career Center; Pat Callahan of the Upper Cumberland Human Resources Agency; and George Halford of the Cookeville Area Putnam County Chamber of Commerce were shown some of Flexial's latest development programs including welded bellows accumulators for the Air Force's newest fighter, the F/A-22 Raptor; a titanium bellows for the SM-3 Kinetic Warhead; a titanium implantable pump for heart assist and others. Following the tour, Rick Larsen, President of Flexial, then made a presentation describing Flexial's work in aerospace, military, medical and other areas to the Workforce Development Board in its meeting held at the Chamber of Commerce.
