Flexial Corporation acquired by the BOA Group
Flexial Corporation announced today that it has been acquired by the BOA Group, headquartered in Stutensee, Germany.
Based in Cookeville, Tennessee, Flexial manufactures highly engineered edge-welded metal bellows for fluid management, sensing and actuation applications. Products include welded bellows accumulators, reservoirs and surge arresters as well as key components used in pressure, temperature, altitude, fuel control and other sensing systems. Flexial products are in use on a wide variety of commercial and military aircraft around the world including the Airbus A350 and A380, Boeing 737, F-16, F-22, F-35, Global Hawk and Fire Scout. Flexial bellows are also in use onboard numerous space systems. The Company counts many leading aerospace primes as customers including Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Embraer, Raytheon, GE Aviation, Lockheed Martin, Honeywell, Northrop Grumman, Parker Hannifin, and many others.
With some 20 subsidiaries and shareholdings in eleven countries as well as sales and service offices in the strategic industrial countries, the BOA Group is one of the world's leading manufacturers of flexible mechanical elements for the automotive industry and for a wide range of industrial applications. The Corporate headquarters is based in Stutensee near Karlsruhe, Germany.
The BOA Group develops, produces and distributes worldwide stainless steel components for motor management, exhaust systems and side components for vehicles. In the industrial division, the BOA Group delivers gas tight and flexible elements for applications in energy technology and technical construction: railway, shipyards, aerospace industry, vacuum technologies, measurement and control and a host of other applications.
Today's military aircraft, including both the F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning carry Flexial's products. Commercial aircraft manufacturers are selecting Flexial for accumulators, reservoirs, and other components for hydraulic systems, braking systems, and cooling systems around the world; with a continuous drive to reduce fleet maintenance costs, Flexial's products can eliminate maintenance for the life of the aircraft with maintenance free, high pressure, and ultra-light weight fluid management, sensor, and sealing products. Flexial products are integrated in the life support systems of the International Space Station and are part of the Science Laboratory in the latest unmanned expedition headed to Mars.
