Summary of position:
Under the supervision of the Sales and Marketing Director, the Customer Service Representative will perform customer service activities, including fielding calls from customers on current programs; taking customer purchase orders and creating sales orders; trouble-shooting and fact-finding for customers, providing customers with schedule information; liaison between customers, Flexial manufacturing, program management and sales team; data entry (setting up sales orders, entering customer, contact, and quote information); administrative support to program management and sales and marketing (electronic and paper file management, document management, literature management and creation, marketing mail outs).
The ability to ensure that customer needs are followed up on and effectively closed is a critical element of this position. Multitasking and self-organization are necessary. This position is dynamic and highly visible to our customers and to our internal management team, and an exceptionally high level of performance is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving customer communications, including telephone calls, faxes, and emails.
- Documenting customer communications and disseminating that information as required organizationally.
- Responding to customer communications immediately.

- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Time is of the essence
- Prompt attention to the needs of the customer is of the utmost importance.
- Information technology skills
- The Customer Service Representative must possess very strong PC skills, including at least the following:
- Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of basic server and file structures.
- Strong keyboard skills.
- The Customer Service Representative must be familiar with and competent in utilizing internet-based resources, sending and receiving email, and should be able to utilize software-based productivity management tools.
